Tonight was to be another first for me as I was attending my first seated concert, only due to the fact I was going with my dad. We arrived 5 minutes before the doors opened, knowing that we had our seats secured already and not wanting to stand in the cold for half an hour. [...]
Then a white curtain fell from the lighting rig and the lights went down. The crowd burst into a chorus of shrill piercing screams as the female contingent suddenly got overexcited about seeing their heart throb, Jared Leto. And then as the opening synth-ridden beats of the escape riddled the room, the crowd fell silent. Then, through the dry ice and shadowy lighting, a silhouette emerged.
But in true rock and roll style, they well and truly crashed through the curfew, launching straight into Redneck. This song really proved why Lamb of God concerts are known all over the world for their brutality, energy and passion. The room appeared to have a black hole open in the centre, sucking in much of the audience into a vicious pit that spanned almost the whole room.
