When you’ve settled all the conflicts you can find, and brought together warring nations across the northern seas, it’s time to kick back and have a party, right?
If only it were that simple. Peace between sovereign states is one thing, but Manni the Reveller still can’t bring everyone together for Chieftain Brundt’s birthday feast.
See old friends in new ways as you delve into the mysteries of the past, and help them resolve the problems of the present. To save the chieftain’s birthday celebrations you’ll have to uncover the secrets they can’t remember, and confront a monster they want to forget.
Glorious Memories is my first quest and it has been a real joy to write and develop. I know a lot of you are big fans of the Fremennik peoples (so am I), and I hope that you have as much fun as I did uncovering the history of these fascinating characters.

In Other News…
The logic governing the behavior of items kept on death has been fixed for certain circumstances involving stacks of items, such as coins. If in doubt about what is at risk, double check your Items Kept on Death interface.
There is a new button on the bank interface to allow you to set your PIN more easily, if you don’t already have one.
It should now take you less time to switch your prayers on and off, due to code shuffling.
If the cabbages are annoying you, just turn Accept Aid off.
Crazy and Funny things that happened with this release,
If you teleport to your house from inside the Icy Cave then your house will have an “Icy” decor to it.
When you click ferry to Neitiznot or Jatiszo you will ferry straight there instead of talking to the people.
This quest was released at the same time as the 2009 April Fools event.
Some people might remember right-clicking the run icon beside the mini map and seeing the command “Rest”, this has now been removed.
Now, for a review of the quest,
Skål! The Scandinavian toast of friendship and goodwill which may be offered when drinking, sitting down to eat, or at a formal event. What could this mean? Chieftain Brundt is going to have a surprise birthday and Manni the Reveller is going to host it, but he needs your help. He wants to get King Vargas and Mawnis Burrowgar to come to the party, sounds easy, right, but it’s not. Turns out something happened when they were all young that made King Vargas and Mawnis Burrowgar mad at Chieftain Brundt. It’s up to you to help them solve their problems and help them make up to each other so they can all enjoy the party for Chieftain Brundt.
The adventure is tough, the enemies challenging and you will find out how King Vargas was turned into a Yeti. A new area will be discovered with all new enemies to fight.
Now, then quest is quite good. You get to find out things that you most likely didn’t even think about thinking of. Like how King Vargas turned into a Yeti and that King Vargas, along with Mawnis Burrowgar and Chieftain Brundt used to be friends. Here is one of the 2 reward scrolls you get but if you want to find out more about the quest, you need to go it yourself.
Overall it is a good quest, I’m not totally sure how to classify it, just another Quest in the Fremmennik series or the Fremmennik ender. Either way it was an enjoyable quest for me and I hope there are more like it. Good job Mod Hew on your first quest, I hope you make more quests like this. Good job Jagex!
